Streets, buildings, land use, water and place names from OpenStreetMap as Protomaps builds them daily for the whole world into one tile archive: we cut Germany out (to zoom 15, magnified beyond), host the archive ourselves and draw it in the browser — no map provider sees a request. Labels follow the interface language. The cut is a derivative database under ODbL, available on request.

Land reference values · Bodenrichtwerte

The valuation boards’ zones with value, use, valuation date and floor area ratio. We read the states’ vector services, unify the attributes after the VBORIS model, attach the values of older valuation dates to today’s zone as its history and simplify the borders to map scale. States without open vector data are missing — they read “no data”.

Conservation and redevelopment areas, monuments · Erhaltungs- und Sanierungsgebiete, Denkmale

Areas under § 172 and § 136 BauGB and the monument lists, as polygons with English identifiers in the schema; the German legal terms live in the interface. Lifted areas are left out.

Census 2022 · Zensus 2022

The grid cells (100 m, 1 km, 10 km) with population, net cold rent, vacancy, owner-occupier rate, age and living space, turned from the CSV files into tile geometries; cells of limited reliability are marked the way the statistical offices flag them.

Flood hazards · Hochwassergefahren

The states’ hazard maps under the Floods Directive as the BfG harmonises them nationwide: only the outlines of the scenarios HQhäufig, HQ100 and HQextrem for river and coastal floods, without water depths; coordinates rounded to a decimetre.

Residential location classes · Wohnlagen

The location class per address from the cities’ registers to their rent index, as points; the classes are mapped onto simple / medium / good with the source’s own word kept beside them. The lookup takes the nearest address within 40 m.

Public transport stations · Haltestellen

Stations from the DELFI timetable as gtfs.de republishes it as GTFS: platforms and stop halves folded into one station, modes and lines derived from the trips, replacement services counted as the mode they replace. A snapshot of the timetable, not the timetable.

Noise maps · Lärmkarten

The strategic noise maps of the Environmental Noise Directive (round 4, 2022): the isophone bands of the federal railways in 5 dB classes and, for Berlin, the residential buildings with the level of their loudest facade per source, folded from the map’s facade points.

Cadastral parcels · Flurstücke

The parcels (Flurstücke) from the states’ cadastres (ALKIS, in the AdV’s simplified schema): boundary, parcel identifier, Gemarkung, Flur, number and the area the cadastre records, no owner data. For the map the boundaries are rounded to about a tenth of a metre.

Rent index tables

The reference rent is computed from the tables of the qualified rent indexes, transcribed row by row:
